Professional Pilot Program

Overview

This a comprehensive full-time pilot training program enabling student to progress through the Private Pilot Licence,  Commercial Pilot Licence, and optionally, the Flight Instructor Rating in minimum qualifications time.   Student are able to complete these programs within a 6 to 8 month period, flying an average of 1.5 hours per day (Monday through Friday), and completing three qualifying Transport Canada written examinations and three flight tests.  Please note that pilot-training completion times are dependent on student performance in both written examinations and flight tests.

Phase 1: Private Pilot Licence Training

Private Pilot Training is the prerequisite for entry into the Commercial Pilot Program, and lasts for the first 2 to 3 months of training.  During the first six weeks of training, flight and ground training is evenly split, with morning groundschool classes and afternoon training flights.  Included is a “weather recovery” process whereby groundschool classes are expanding into the afternoons of poor-weather, no-fly days, whereby make-up flights are conducted in the mornings of fair-weather days. leo.

Phase 2: Commercial Pilot Licence Training and Time-building

While the Commercial Pilot Groundschool begins during the 4th month of training, Commercial Pilot flight training can only begin once students are qualified as Private Pilots.  Like Phase 1, a split-training schedule is also applied to Commercial Pilot training with daily morning groundschool classes and afternoon training flights.  Once dual training flights are completed during approximately the 5th month, student begin the necessary time-building to accumulate a minimum of 100 hours Pilot-in-Command, including the necessary cross-country flight experience.

Phase 3: Flight Instructor Rating (Optional)

With the completion of the Commercial Pilot Program students qualify  for enrollment in the Flight Instructor Rating, which includes approximately 25 hours of groundschool and 30 hours of dual flight instruction.  The split training schedule is also applied to Instructor Rating training and can be completed in approximately 2 to 3 months.
